How to fabricate an acrylic fish tank and what precautions for its landscaping? Let's learn some landscaping techniques with Tomson Xiaobian.
1. Choose a location for the aquarium (not in direct sunlight or there will be moss), make the ground level and have power outlets. Install extension cords with at least 4 sockets. Clean the inside and outside of the aquarium.
2. Attach background paper or a board on the back. The color should match the plants behind. Wash the sand, scrub the driftwood and rocks, and put the filter material in the filter.
3. Install the connecting pipe if any. The sieve hole of the submersible motor should be at least 5cm from the bottom. Connect the lights and keep them on for 10-12 hours a day.
4. Mix the bottom sand and fertilizer evenly (20 liters of sand and 1000g of fertilizer). Sprinkle the base sand with fertilizer first, then the remaining 50 liters of sand. Place driftwood or rocks. Open spaces need aquatic plants for a better look.
5. Slowly fill the aquarium with water of the right temperature along the tank walls. You can use a piece of glass or a bowl at the bottom to prevent the sand from being washed away. Fill it halfway.
6. Plant aquatic plants according to the diagram. Cut off rotten stems and leaves and trim the roots to one-third. Consider light and other growth factors when planting different plants.
